Shieldhill police appeal after under-age drink incidents

Police in Shieldhill are appealing for information after a series of incidents involving youths gathering outside local shops, and asking adults to buy them alcohol.

There have been several complaints about youths outside shops in Maddiston, Shieldhill and California and asking adults to illegally buy them alcohol.

Community officer Laura McAlister said: “It is an offence for an adult to but alcohol for children under age and if anyone has any information in relation to who may be buying alcohol for children then please contact the police.”
