At the Crossbrae

I can remember back to when the buildings at the top of the Crossbrae were very different. Where the Primary School and Shop are now used to be Jessie Chalmers shop, a farm, old Gospel Hall and to the west of that was the Drill hall with Football field behind. This was around the late Fifties early Sixties.

Along the road to the west there used to be the Co-operative building with Drapery on one side and Grocers on the other. This building is still standing today and is currently used as dwelling houses.
